Malta & GozoAlthough Malta is a year round destination, the best time to travel there for diving is between May and October. Malta is well known for its good visibility (up to 50m), as well as for its wrecks, caves and beautiful cliff formations.
Take medieval cities, limestone cliffs, crystal clear water and food with an Italian touch. Add a southern European feeling of organized chaos and a dry and sunny climate and you have Malta in a nutshell! Sea, history, food and of course – fantastic diving. An excellent destination for the whole family. Non-divers can spend the day at the beach, touring ancient temples or snorkeling along the coastline, while the divers in the family discover local wrecks, caverns or maybe even take a tour to the tuna farm. Only three and half hours away from Scandinavia, you can choose to spend a long weekend or better yet, a full week without enduring a long journey. And because it is in the EU, all Europeans are covered through EU medical insurance, making the trip even safer.
Gozo is the second largest Island of the Maltese archipelago, with a population of approximately 30,000. Exuding a relaxed pace of life, Gozo is the ideal secluded safe haven and at just 25 minutes by ferry from Malta, the hop can easily be made for even the shortest stay.
